My fitbit slowly died over the past few weeks

It started by having a shorter battery life, and not letting me scroll to the side, only up and down. Now it won't turn on after dying randomly near full battery life. No sort of reaction when I try to charge it or reset it with the charger.

oh now when i plug it in it turns on! but theres a red circle with an X in the middle... 

Strange timing, I had it for 6 months and got the free premium, then after 6 months it suddenly stopped working...
