Hi,
My Charge 5 was delivered on Tuesday this week and I was really excited to use it. I have set it up as instructed and since then I have more than less good experience with it. The device keeps switching off with red X on the screen which leads me to use pulse restart. It happened 4 times yesterday. The battery doesn't last longer than 16 hours. For example, it is at 100% at 8am; at 85% at 9pm and then gets drained overnight, leaving the device with 3% at 5am next morning. I have looked up for the tips around this community, switched off GPS, uninstalled some apps (what is a point of having them on the device if you cannot use them to save battery anyway?!) but the issue continues. Is there anything else I can do before I contact Customer Service team to arrange return of it?

Since it seems like you've tried the recommended troubleshooting steps without success, you should contact Fitbit support regarding your defective device.
Please note there's currently a banner at the top of the forum stating that many users are contacting Customer Service. Don't give up if you can't get through right away.

Since the support team is continuing to get a lot of traffic, you may need to follow up with them if you don't get a reply in a day or so. Be persistent until you get a reply.
