I have had a Fitbit 3 & 4 and now after the 4 body broke I have a 5 purchased directly from Fitbit. Since wearing it from June 2 in various positions on my wrist, I have only had 2 full sleep readings. Curiously both on a Monday. The rest are just the simplified version. Can anyone explain why? The watch is worn 2 fingers width above my wrist bone.

Welcome back to the Fitbit community, @Vu1pecula!
Sad to hear that you're having issues with sleep tracking on your device. I'd suggest setting up a sleep schedule to improve sleep tracking accuracy. Please have a look at "How do I set a sleep schedule in the Fitbit app?" following the link below to see how to do that:
How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
You might also try changing sleep sensitivity to get better results. See "What's the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting?" in the link I've provided above for more information on that.
