Hi, I received my charge 5 yesterday, had real trouble getting it to charge, although it worked eventually, managed to pair it after much trying, but it wouldn't update the software, kept failing after waiting over an hour. Phone is android 8.0 so should be compatible.
So I unpaired it, deleted and re installed the app, I've tried restarting the device, but get the start up logo for a second which then disappears and nothing happens, it doesn't even give % charge when it's attached to the charger (checked that it is actually connected properly). The app can connect to it, but when it requests the number to pair it nothing comes up on the device's screen. Can anyone help? Can't get through to fitbit help because I don't get the charge 5 option because it's not paired!

Just paired old charge 2 without issue, so appears to be the charge 5 device rather than the app or phone.
