I just got my charge 5 and unboxed it and set it on the charger. No vibration, no icon indicating that it's charging at all. The screen is just black.
All plastic is removed, pins are aligned. It's been on the charger 2 hours now, and still seems to be completely dead and not charging.

Well, left it on the charger all night and no change. So back into the box it goes and I'll return it. Looking at all the issues here in the community, I really don't know if I will try another charge 5 or go with something else.

Hi, I had exactly the same problem right out of the box and did everything like you have done with no success. I returned it to BestBuy for another one and would you believe it, I'm having the same problem with the second one as well. Back to BestBuy tomorrow to get a third one. I'm thinking that FitBit quality is going downhill.
