Super pissed, brand new charge 5 doesnt charge or of course come on.
Left in charger for couple of days and have tried reboot by pressing button on charger as recommended. The warranty ran out.in December. Talked to customer service but absoutely no help. Any suggestions would be.much appreciated

yes tried everything. Still dead new out of box. No help talking with customer service. I don't understand why something can't be done since it was brand new

It would be a good practice to check if the device is working properly during the first days of the warranty. While unused electronics can potentially last for many years, they don't have an infinite shelf life. Some components, like capacitors, can degrade over time, even if the device is never used. The exact lifespan depends on factors like storage conditions and the type of components used.
