I have never received a text message notification on my Charge 5. I have spent several hours on the phone with the tech support. I have double checked all the settings on the FitBitch App, the iphone's general settings, the FitBit settings in General settings of the phone, and the settings on the actual Charge 5. Basically, I don't think this feature works on the Charge 5.

Sad to hear that you're having an issue with notifications on your Charge 5.

No response other than you. Also, I see the problem popping up on the
forum, but they typically get the same response: a list of fairly obvious
settings that you already have set correctly.

A really major update for the Fitbit app is just around the corner, @euroclyde and @LMCook55.
Let's see if that one will get things fixed for you.

What iOS are you running?

 

I was getting notifications on my charge 5, but then I updated to iOS 17 and can’t get notifications to work anymore.

Currently am using the 17, but text notifications have never worked for me, beginning when I got the Charge 5 about 4 months ago.

I’ve heard nothing good about the new app and am reluctant to install it. 

I’m getting Weather notifications to my Fitbit charge 5 but not texts or calls or reminders.
