Nordic pole walking not registering activity minutes

Doing a brisk 45 minute hilly walk using Nordic poles registers zero activity minutes. Doing the same walk without poles does register 40 - 50 activity minutes. I must be using the same energy. Explanation?

I'm a bit confused as to what your issue is.  You posted in the Fitbit forums, but there's no mention of Fitbit (only Nordic) anywhere in your post.  Which device do you have the issue with?

If the issue is with Nordic, you will need to reach out to them directly as they are not affiliated with Fitbit.

After re-reading your post, it seems you're having issues with registering Activity Min. from your workout, correct?  In order for it to register, you need to keep the same intensity for about 10 min.

Hello,
It is the Charge 5 - several years old. I got into the forum through the
Charge 5 heading and assumed all was about them - my mistake.
I have been experimenting and found that it records activity minutes on
the non-dominant hand, but not the dominant hand. However, if i wear the
watch upside down on the dominant hand, it does record the activity
minutes!
