Not recording zone minutes or heart rate on walks

My charge 5 doesn't record zone minutes or heart rate during walks or hikes. It does record data if I select a specific activity such as hiking or walking but if I don't select those it will not record my heart rate or indicate zone minutes. This just began happening two days ago. Prior to that zone minutes and heart rates were recorded anytime I performed some sustained activity. Please advise.

When you say it does not record your heart rate, where are you looking to see that?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
