Notifications are not coming through my Charge 5

update to post below: I removed the C5 from my account restarted it from the charger and re added it on my account. Seems to be working ok now but we’ll see for how long 🤞🤞

My charge 5 has completely stopped giving notifications. I’ve unpaired/restarted/repaired/ etc etc over and over went through every step numerous times to no avail. One of the reasons I wear it is so that I don’t miss texts or calls.

Hi, @mchili , could it be that the Bluetooth connection has been "captured" by another device? Your Fitbit can only connect to one device at a time - so, for example I use an iPad to check my Fitbit app as well as my phone, but if I don't make sure the Bluetooth is turned off on my iPad it takes over three Bluetooth connection and I still getting notifications.

If you have an Android phone the best way to reestablish connection for notifications is to go to the Fitbit app. From the opening "Today" screen click on the person icon/photo to left to go to the account screen. On that screen click on your device (Charge 5) and then "notifications" In the notifications screen you will see 3 dots top right. Click on that and choose "send a test call notification"  Sometimes you have to try that a couple of times, but it will usually reestablish connection as long as your Fitbit isn't connected to another device (like another phone or tablet)

I assume there is a similar procedure for iPhone, but I don't know any details.

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android

@Julia_G  No it’s not connected to another device. Only to my iPhone. The iPhone doesn’t have the feature to send a test notifications. It would help if it did!
