Notifications when running

Hello,

I’ve recently purchased a Charge 5 and it’s driving me nuts when I run! I’m constantly receiving notifications about which zone I’m in ‘peak’, ‘cardio’, ‘fat burn’ etc. I’d like to turn these off and start receiving notifications about having completed each Km and the time taken. Please help!

thanks

Hi Emma

I might be able to help a bit - having turned virtually everything OFF on my new Charge 5, attempting to preserve Battery Life 😡

So, on your watch, from the the clock face, flick down and move through - DND, Sleep Mode, Screen Awake, Water Lock until you come to ‘Settings’. Tap this to open another menu and keep moving through (scroll and attempt not to change the settings en route!) past Display Settings, Quiet Modes, Heart Rate (have this ON as it monitors sleep, calories - I think - etc.) and the next ON/OFF Option is ‘Heart Zone Notifications’ - turn this one OFF.

Also a few other things I do:

- I only use the FitBit App (on my iPhone) to track runs & walks so I’m using my phone’s GPS. Currently there are major issues with the watch GPS and not switching it off - hence draining your battery. Waiting for a fix - one fine day 🤞but FitBit are taking their time!
- I also have Do Not Disturb (DND) set to ON as I’m not interested in any message notifications on my watch at all

- in the FitBit app (iPhone), click your Profile picture, scroll down to ‘Settings’  and click ‘Notifications’. There’s a whole bunch of Notifications here and I only have the ‘Low Battery’ & ‘Auto Recognise Exercises’ turned on!!

Hope this helps…
