Other people is trying to connect my Charge 5

I got gifted a used fitbit by my coworker a few days ago and all of a sudden i think someone who knew i had a fitbit tried to connect with it? Like it was vibrating and  it was showing a four digit code.

How do I prevent others from connecting to it? It gets annoying since i have to reconnect to my Fitbit afterwards.

Welcome to the Community, @chuwran.

Thanks for the detailed information, and your efforts while working on this matter. I understand how you're feeling about this situation and just to confirm, do you know if your coworker forgot this tracker from the Bluetooth settings of their phone? I'm asking this as if it's still connected and they're using the Fitbit app, the Charge 5 might be trying to connect again.

Assuming this is the case, ask your coworker to remove it from the Bluetooth settings. Then, give a try to the following steps:

  1. Remove the Charge 5 from the Bluetooth settings on your phone as well.
  2. If possible, turn off other Bluetooth connections nearby or move to a different location.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Restart your tracker to refresh its performance.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  6. Select your Charge 5 and follow the on-screen instructions.
