Hello @Marimouse76 @and welcome to the Community.  I have some information that should help you more than @SunsetRunner’s suggestion.  The Charge 5 has the Outdoor Workout exercise shortcut.  It’s specifically designed for non-step based activities like kayaking and SUP.  It uses GPS.  Fitbit made a mistake and put the wrong icon on the choice.  It’s the same icon as Interval Workout, so it’s very misleading.

And to be very clear.  If you are wearing your heart rate enabled Fitbit while exercising, you should never log something manually.  It will overwrite your Fitbit collected data with incorrect information.

Hello @Marimouse76

It would be nice if it was recognized as an exercise shortcut. You can see here it was suggested back in 2015 and it’s still getting post tracking here in 2022: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Add-Canoeing-Kayaking-Paddle-Boarding-as-an-Exer.... 🤔 So it’s highly unlikely if it hasn’t been added yet.
But you can edit and manually log activities in the Fitbit app: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1306.htm

😃 Maybe that might help. Please let me know if this answers your question
