Paddling is a popular activity and it does not make sense Fitbit is unable to track it. I need to monitor distance and pace. The workaround suggested in my chat with Fitbit(using workout) is lame. The paddling activity request has been made/voted on by hundreds of users…going back to 2015…with some saying resolved, but this is not the case. Please make the paddling feature a priority.

@LindaMtl Please try the Outdoor Workout for your paddling activities. It is designed for non-step based activities. Fitbit put the wrong icon on the Outdoor Workout shortcut. It used the same icon as Interval Workout. The Charge 4 shows a figure in a kayak.

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @LindaMtl.
Thank you for your inquiry about your Charge 5 and this specific activity.
As you mentioned earlier, I noticed this idea about adding paddling (canoe, kayak) has been posted before and it's been released for some Fitbit devices, but I didn't see one suggestion posted for the Charge 5.
I would recommend that you post this idea in the Product Feedback board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers. Make sure to post your idea including as many details as possible.

Thank you will do. Though it’s a little nuts to have to make suggestions by watch. Surely a new model (charge 5 was launched in 2021) should have included this feature.
Thank you. Perhaps I’m looking in the wrong place. I cannot find find the outdoor workout nor interval workout on my mobile.

@LindaMtl There are over 20 exercise shortcuts available for the Charge 5. The Exercise app only holds either 5 or 6 and is preloaded with the most commonly used shortcuts. You need to edit your shortcut list. How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?
Fitbit added canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding to the Sense 2/Versa 4 with an expanded shortcut list. They were released a year after the Charge 5.
