I've had four Fitbit Charge 5s fail on me after applying sunscreen. One was dead dead the others couldn't hold a charge for more than an hour or two.
Fortunately (in Australia, at least), warranty starts again with a replacement so I'm now on to number five. Fitbit, you may want to do something about this flaw, I'm happy to swap out a new Fitbit Charge 5 every couple of months, but presumably you haven't made a cent out of my purchase.

Hello @steggles and welcome to the Community. Fitbit specifically says to avoid contact with sunscreen in its Wear and Care page. This is true for all Fitbit models. I think you are lucky to be in Australia.

Hi LZeeW
You are correct, the website does mention the product doesn't like sunscreen. It only took me 4 dead devices to make me realise sunscreen and sweat kills the device, and that's when I looked on the Fitbit website -- 863 words on the page you linked, and the single mention of sunscreen is buried in the middle. If Fitbit was trying to communicate they failed badly.
And it's not so lucky using a Fitbit Charge 5 in Australia -- there's no way to display the date in DD/MM only that silly MM/DD format that's used in a handful of countries worldwide (source).
