I’ve had a Charge 2 since 2018. It is a sturdy beast and has held up pretty well. I figured I’d retire it and replace it with the cooler newer model. I was somewhat trepidatious because I had purchased and returned a Charge 4 in 2020 that had major GPS issues. I guess I was right, which is a total bummer. I was really excited and now I’m pretty let down. The Charge 5 will not remains consistently synced with my iPhone. It does not send me notifications to move on the hour, it does not send me text notifications and this morning I awoke to check my sleep stats and there were non, ( most likely due to it being unpaired all night from Bluetooth). Ive done all of the troubleshooting suggestions in regards to Bluetooth. Ive toggled notifications on and off as well as DND and Night Mode. When I purchase a product I want to not feel frustrated by it. I’m trying to track my general health and fitness, not be pissed off that I paid for another device that doesn’t work. I’m somewhat stressed because ive got a 15 day grace period for returns and I’m kinda broke so I can’t really hold into this one and turn around and purchase a brand new device.
My question is to those who have had experience with owning multiple fitness trackers: Should I wait for an update or just return it? What would you do?

Didn't read in detail, but one thing that jumped out, sleep stat do not require bluetooth pairing; your phone could be totally turned off or be in anothrer state, and get sleep record later on when turn it on. I didn't read rest in detail to check out other issues.
