After being Gully satisfied with my charge 5 it suddenly changed its behaviour. The red light on the back shines always and the battery runs completely down in less than six hours.

Hi, @Mutabor, welcome to the community, is this a charging issue? Check the State of Charge by syncing your phone app and noting the SOC in the icon in the top right corner of the "Today" screen. You may find Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?  of interest. Generally, we do not see many charging issues with the "Charge 5" on the forum but on other devices, we often recommend cleaning the back (Where the contacts are). Fitbit Wear & Care provides advice, I use rubbing alcohol with a cotton swab, and while I have the swab in hand I usually clean my phone and mouse as well. Try restarting your Charge 5 Troubleshooting provides guidance.

I hope this helps but if you are still stuck please post here again.

Cheers

Thanks to the UK for your prompt reply.  No, it s not a charging issue - charging works quite well.

I think the red spotlight on the back, which runs  constantly is consuming all the energy.

If nobody has a new idea I ll geht convinced to drop this device.
