Request: Add Rowing as exercise option for Charge 5

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’m requesting TO PLEASE add rowing to the exercise list for the Charge 5… in fact to every Fitbit device. I will even help beta test! 🙂

But searching among other forums, I’m dumbfounded that rowing isn’t listed as a standard exercise in the list based on how much it’s talked about and requested!
Yes, I do the workaround that’s been suggested in other comments, but just again shocked that it still hasn’t been added.

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @Iamallison.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the option to have Rowing exercise on the Charge 5.

I noticed a few ideas about adding new food databases to the Fitbit app, but I didn't one posted for Greek food.

As you mentioned earlier, unfortunately this workout hasn't been added yet to the list exercises that can be tracked with the exercise app or tracked automatically. I recommend that you vote for this idea (Rowing/Stationary Rowing Machine Exercise Shortcut) posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers and it helps them to continue to track popularity and demand over time.

As you pointed out as well, it's recommended to use the workout option in the meantime, for any exercises have haven't been added as shortcuts.

Thanks again for taking the time to share all your feedback and comments about this.

@IamallisonThey do not indicate which platforms it will be released on except for the two first released a few weeks ago.

It is worth noting that it took them a full 7 years to monitor the forums and decide to add the app feature to any FitBit platform despite many thousands of votes.

Ha that sounds about right!! I’m just still shocked that more exercises are not added - or not giving the end user ability to add and save any custom entries to the list

This is why I also use a whoop device that actually has rowing included in its exercise lists lol so I can track

@Iamallison Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and your experience with this.

We haven't received any other information about this activity for the Charge 5 specifically, but any updates about this will be shared as soon as they're available.

See you around.
