I have been using Fitbits since 2019. So far I have owned a Charge 3, a Versa 2, a Charge 4, and now, a Charge 5. I have given this company around $800 for these devices, and reluctantly accepted the rather creepy manner in which the organization has decided to put most of the data generated BY ME, behind a wall that is difficult if not impossible to access. The reason I have kept coming back and purchasing new products is because I like that the Charges are simple, mostly reliable, and familiar. THIS APP UPDATE SINGLE HANDEDLY RUINS THE SIMPLICITY AND FAMILIARITY OF THE **ahem** DEVICE!
As such I must warn you Fitbit, Google, whoever, that if you do not revert to the old layout I am simply never buying another Fitbit product again, and instead, purchasing a higher quality device from a competitor that makes more sense for someone who is as serious about their athleticism and health tracking as I am.
The people who are unbelievably infuriated by this senseless change like me are not going to just "get over it" Fitbit. The update you have released could only be appreciated by a newer "casual user" market. Users who may likely spend money on your product, wear it three times, then never put it back on again. These are not the people who will keep coming back to buy your devices over and over, and you have effectively pissed all of us more devoted enthusiasts off to the point of complete boycott. So I suggest, that unless you want to be known as the "Bud Light" of fitness devices, you should give us what we want, and revert to the old app.

Marre,
Save me the spiel and the links to the "Blog" that gives a corporate message trying to appease anger, or the page that shows where the features we had in plain sight in the old UI have been hidden in this new garbage heap. I'm good, I have seen them, I am just as angry as I was before reading them. Take our complaints up with the developing team and tell them they need to go back to the old app, despite the investment cost in this new monstrosity. I am not waiting around for months while you guys slowly roll out features that the old app already had. That is stupid. Why would I wait months to receive something that I had that you stole with poor product design? The whole thing is just laughable.
