is anyone else not able to receive notifications for ring alarm systems? Every other app notifications work fine. Even alexa works fine. I contacted text support and they were no help at all. I switched from a Samsung and was happy until I found this out.

Welcome to the Community forums, @Kristinadjoy.
Thank you for sharing all this information about what you've been experiencing with your Charge 5 and confirming that you already got in touch with the Customer Support team.
Before considering other options, could you please provide a few extra details? Let me know what is the type of notification that you'd like to receive? Is this a text notification?
In the meantime, I recommend that you look for this app on your phone's settings to check if there are any restrictions activated for notifications. In addition, make sure to follow all the steps listed here to resolve problems with notifications, this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.
Also, make sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed and to check all the compatibility requirements here.
I'll be around.

Thank you for reaching out. I have tried all those things already. I would Ideally like to get a picture snapshot of what set off the camera as I did before on my Samsung gear fit 2. However I am going to assume that is not an option as even receiving a picture text message on my phone, the Fitbit only tells me I have an image, and doesn't actually show what the image is. This is all a bit upsetting because the technology is available, and for the money I spent, I would assume basic functions like this would just be available.

@Kristinadjoy Thank you for sharing this update.
As you mentioned earlier, unfortunately this option is not available for the moment. You can only see an indication that there's an image included and it shows the first 40 characters of the notification, but you need to check your phone for the full message.
Please consider voting for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, as this section is constantly reviewed by the team of developers: Show pictures sent from messaging app on Fitbit device.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback about this feature as well.
Have a great day.
