I have been tracking my runs using the Charge 5 GPS and Strava (I have not turned on Fitbit and Strava integration). Strava always seems to over-estimate the distance by ~10% and calories burned are also a lot higher (Fitbit is usually about 20% less). I run 8 laps around a track which should be 2 miles. Of course it can vary slightly as sometimes you change lanes to avoid other runners. On calories burned Strava will often say 360-370 calories burned while Fitbit will be much lower at 285-295 calories. Strava knows my height and weight but does not have access to Fitbit Heart Rate data and it is getting its GPS data from my Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge phone (~4 years old now I think). I don't care as much about the calories but do care about whether my pace was 8:15 per mile or 9:10 per mile. I would like to run in a 5K this summer and am trying to understand what my real pace is.
