Scratches/oxidation on Charge 5 side metal bars

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi! After only 4 months of use my Charge 5 shows serious physical damage on its side metal frames/bars, with no reason for it to have happened. The rest of the tracker is in perfect state, not a single minimal scratch is seen on either the glass screen or the wristband.

I live in cold weather thus am always dressing long-sleeves; i.e. my tracker is always covered/protected by soft fabric layers with no buttons. In other words, there is no history of scratching/hitting hard surfaces nor anything that could be rubbing and damaging it.

With that said, I'm not sure if these are scratches, or oxidation – please see the pictures below. But again: there is no reason for it to have happened. And I can already feel both ECG and EDA readings starting to compromise (tracker facing difficulties to read it even with my fingers on it).

Any similar cases? Any comments that could help understand/solve it?

Thank you!

Carlos
