Screen is black, resets not working Charge 5

Recharged Charge 5 and phone app says it’s at 100%. No amount of tapping or trying the reset button three times can make the display come on. Same happened a few years ago when I had the Charge 3. Time to switch to an Apple Watch?

Thanks for the details about this problem with the Charge 5 and for confirming that you already tried the three pulse restart option. 

Could you please confirm if you've also tried the steps listed here below? These have been useful for other people.  

  1. Follow these steps in case you're having trouble to charge your device. 
  2. Please sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  3. If you  can't sync, tap on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tap to see if a firmware banner appears. 
  4. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display.

Screen is completely black despite being on charger for an hour. Buzzes but that’s all it will do.
