For some reason, I’m not able to lift my wrist and then watch goes on? You know how when it says just lift your wrist up and the time should show oh that’s not my case I have to like tap it like three times. Is this normal?

Hi there, @Deana49. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Charge 5.

As @A.Lynn has suggested, please go to your quick settings and check that screen wake hasn't accidentally been turned off. Swipe down from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings. Change whether the screen turns on when you turn your wrist.

If this settings is set correctly, please try restarting your Charge 5 by following these steps How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the above doesn't work, please check if your Charge 5 is in sleep mode. When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The Always-On Display clock face is turned off.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in the quick settings.

To turn off Sleep Mode, please swipe right from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

It's more of a lil quick turn of your wrist that makes it come on. Check that your setting is on the thing ya want then with your palm up flip your hand over and it should come on. Then do it a lil slower and less turn till ya see the speed/movement it takes. With mine I gotta turn my wrist over just a tiny bit faster then naturally would. Saves battery, otherwise it'd be coming on every time ya move. And yah, mine sometimes needs to be tapped a couple times to get it to wake up.
