Should I sell my Charge 5? My main workout is swimming

I bought it second hand (but basically new) a few days ago. The company says it's good for swimming, but I should have looked further into the reviews, because a lot of people say it's not. It survived its first couple of swims just fine. My main issues are that it doesn't track heart rate or tell time while in water lock. (You'd think it would be pretty easy to show the time of day on the water lock screen!)

I made a suggestion to show the time on lock screen during a swim activity so it would be helpful if you found that post and added a vote to it. Seems like an obvious feature improvement ( although it would only bring it up to a standard that other trackers already have and that most people would expect it to be able to do.)

But it isn’t very accurate at counting laps. If I swim 25m laps it consistently seems to underestimate lap number and if I swim 50m laps it consistently over counts laps. I use it to synch to a challenge app mainly, so I have to edit the activity as soon as possible after each swim to the actual number of laps.

but it doesn’t learn your stroke at all so it doesn’t improve in accuracy over time.

also it is useless to count laps while you are swimming, due to firstly being inaccurate but secondly you can’t actually see it on the water lock screen 😕

use the search to find my suggestion to show time on lock screen during swim activities to vote it up and if the forum allows me to post twice I’ll try and repost the link.

in any case I said it was my suggestion that you should vote up but I was confusing it with a different swim activity suggestion.
