Would Fitbit consider replacing the fitness tracker display with a solar charging panel? How many users primarily use their phones to interface with the fitness tracker. I for one rarely look at the display. To be able to travel or trek into the wilderness and not worry about the battery dying would be game changing. Oura ring does not have a display, but requires charging. Please post if you would trade a display for a solar charging.

@Dwitte you don't need to go to extremes and replace whole display 🙂 It's not a new idea and there are watches which support such charging. Look at Garmin models which include Solar in the name. Plenty of them. Bad news about solar charging is that it won't be able to recharge watch. Good news is that it may significantly reduce power drain and there are users who recharge watches once a month or even once a 45 days (when not using power hungry features). Another bad news is that with GPS (if you intend to use it) you will still have to worry about battery drain as no solar charging can charge faster than GPS eats battery.
