Solved: Steps carrying over to next day, not syncing with app

Two days ago my Charge 5 stopped sending me hourly reminders to move, then started carrying over steps, calories, AZM and miles to the next day. So for example it shows I burned 5000 calories in one day, when really that is the sum from the past two days. It also only shows the first three hourly reminders to move, as if it is repeating the first day when the problem started. I have not been able to sync the device with the iPhone app.

Things I have tried:

restarting both the device and my iPhone

trying to connect the Charge 5 to the app as a new device

forgetting the Charge 5 on bluetooth

reinstalling the app on my phone

None of these have worked. My phone finds the device via bluetooth, but when I try to connect it to the app, it says it is interrupted and to try again later. I checked the timezone and country settings, as advised in other threads.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem, or have advice for other workarounds to try?

UPDATE: I contacted customer support and they advised me to restart the device using the charging cable. On the flat end that has the USB, there is a little button, and I pressed it three times, with a 1 second pause between each press. The watch rebooted and was able to sync with my phone no problem.

Same here! I’ve tried everything you listed too. My steps from yesterday carried over to today too. The time is correct. Cannot sync to phone but my phone recognizes the device.

I am having all of the same issues as well. Nothing I have tried has resolved anything.
