Can the new Charge 5 auto recognise a stairclimber. I’m thinking of upgrading (I have an Inspire 2) and use the stairclimber a lot but my device does not auto recognise the stairclimber or even recognise it as a workout. Thank you.

Auto-recognized activities are the same for all devices.  You can see list on phone app; days of exercise tile > gear icon

Stair climber is not one of them for any device.

It is an option using the Exercise App on both Inspire 2 and Charge 5, but it sounds like you are set against using that.

How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Hello @Eoghain

Just adding a bit of information.  The Charge 5 doesn’t automatically recognize stairclimber as an exercise but it is listed as one of the exercise shortcuts you can load onto your tracker.

This means you need to choose it from the exercise shortcuts on the Charge 5 (once you’ve loaded it on via the App), then press Start and finally Stop to end the session.  It should measure your heart rate and calories and show up in the App as an exercise session when you next sync.

I hope that helps a bit.
