Steps being added during Spinning workout

Hello,

I've noticed while doing a spinning workout that steps are being added to my total. I'm fine with the steps going up, but I'm curious if this is throwing off my calorie calculations. The most important thing to me at the moment is getting calories burned to read as accurately as possible, so if the workout is recording calories burned and the added steps are also adding more erroneous calories on top of that, that would be a problem.

Does anyone know if the steps recorded while the spinning workout is selected are calculated as additional calories or not?

@TTKAegis steps are being added, based on arm movements.

Calories are calculated mostly by heart rate, bodies BMR, time, etc
