I understand how fitbit calculates my stride length, but getting shot six times in the legs shortened my stride length. The problem is, this isnt my first rodeo. I've had two fitbits before the charge 5, and my stride length had been correct, for those two devices. Why the change? And more importantly, cant fitbit go back to their previous data set and FIX it? !

Hello @Wicked67
If you know what your stride length is, you can edit it yourself in the dashboard on Fitbit.Com.
If you tap on the cog icon in the top right corner and choose Settings, and then scroll down to Advanced Settings and Stride Length, you can edit it to what it used to be, rather than Automatic.
I hope that helps a bit.

I know I can, but I dont know what my stride length is. I just dont understand why fitbit chose to change it? Why did they decide it was broken? And why cant they fix it, since they are the ones who broke it?

Hello again @Wicked67
I don't know why it changed. I don't work for Fitbit so can't tell you what they think/do.
Here is some information I found about how you can calculate your stride length. You don't have to be able to run but you would need to be able to walk a certain number of steps to do it.
I hope that helps with your problem.
