Text messages are not coming through my Charge 5

I get Messenger messages on my HR5 but not texts sent to me ... any ideas? Support couldn't seem to figure it out.

Hello @danfry69 

Are you using a different app for your text messages? If so, have you checked to see if you've enabled that app to send you notifications? To check:

  • Tap on the device icon in the upper left of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • Tap on the Charge 5 tile
  • Tap on Notifications to see which app is selected for your texts.
  • If you're using a different app for texts: Tap on App Notifications, then scroll down to the app you use for texts and enable notifications

Hopefully, this straightens out getting your text notifications on your Charge 5.

Hi there, @danfry69. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. I appreciate you've already tried to solve this issue with our Support Team before posting here. We'll do our best to help you with the text messages not coming through your Charge 5. 

As a first approach, may I know if you're an iOS user? If so, the text messages not coming through are iMessages? I use an iPhone and also had a similar trouble with my iMessages, but I tried toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always". Have you tried this?
