Self explanatory.

Now, the health metrics are blank.

How do i get the 'Health Metrics' tile?  I understand that you need 'premium' for a lot of the historical data etc., but without premium, it should still be available and show breathing rate etc.

Doesn't show as available if i edit the Today page.

I'm in UK, using Android 11, Charge 5 firmware 57.20001.142.37, Fitbit app 3.49.1 (no updates available for any)

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @TimW1.

Thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing this inconvenience with your Health Metrics tile.

Keep in mind that the Health Metrics tile are not available in all regions. To check if the tile is available in your region, see the health metrics page on the Fitbit website. As you mentioned earlier, although most of the information requires a Premium subscription, you can still find basic information about these metrics without a Premium subscription in the Fitbit app.

If you're still having trouble with the app not showing you the tile, please try to:

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings (Settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Storage > Clear cache)
  • Restart your phone.
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see the tile.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.
  • Try to set up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account if you're still having the same problem.

I'll be around.

As my first post, I'm in the UK - which is on the list.

I've tried as suggested and it makes no difference.  Tile hasn't appeared, and it isn't available in the add list if I edit 'Today'

This sounds strange, but I saw this in another thread...  that person was missing a function too and was following all of the steps but they didn't work.  It turned out they had their location set to the wrong country.  It might be worth checking that just in case...

Thanks Wibby.  Location was correct, so tried changing it to an alternative and then back to UK.  Sadly made no difference though and I'm still missing the health metrics tile.

Any more ideas anyone?

I had the same issue on my iPhone 7. I uninstalled Fitbit then turned off my phone then reinstalled it, changed the location(but I’m in Hungary and it should be supported) and still didn’t see the health metrics tile… I had a Charge 3 in the past, so I thought it is probably a programming issue and the app thinks I am not entitled to see the tile (even if I have a Charge 5 now), so it does not show it. Then I activated my 6 months premium and the health metrics tile appeared.

@TimW1 Thank you for your reply and confirming that you already tried the steps mentioned earlier.

In addition to the troubleshooting steps suggested, please try to unpair and repair your device with your Fitbit account, this has been useful for other users as well.

@ReadOnly Could you please try to set up your Charge 5 as a new device as well to check if you're able to see the tile as well?

I can’t get Health Metrics tile to show up either on my Charge 5…I am in Canada and I understand it should be visible without a premium subscription…I have reinstalled app but to no avail…

Help

Hi David this does not at all work for non premium members, I'm located in Canada.

My patience is starting to grow thin as it's been well over three weeks of the same problem while the premium users had their issue fixed in a weeks time.

I feel like this issue has been forgotten and it very much needs escalation.

None 9f the suggestions work.  While I have a free premium trial, I have not yet activated it as I would like to see the metrics working first.  I don't want to find that when my trial ends, that I am forced to continue with premium to have basic access to the metrics.  This has the look of the app being at fault and not allowing this tile to be available to non-prium users....

Unpaired & repaired but did not fix…

not sure what you mean to set up charge 5 as new device…To re-pair I had to “set up a  device” is that not a new device?…

Any update on getting the metric tile for those of us missing it?

thanks for all your help with this!

Best Answer

My tile is still missing too. Must say it is disappointing.

Anything new on this?…Anyone?…

Best Answer

I discovered that the health metrics tile is only available with premium which is very disappointing!

----------------------------------------------

I had an issue with the health metrics tile and spent time with support on here and on twitter and not once did anyone ask me if I had premium. I did not know that this feature is only available with premium. Knowing this would have saved me a lot of time and I wouldn't have returned the first charge 5 thinking it was faulty. I also would not have bought a new Fitbit!!

I’ve followed all these steps and still do not have a metrics tile.  Seems like a month+ would be plenty of time to fix this issue. 😳

@DavideFitbit Can we get any updates here? This is a serious problem that doesn't seem to be getting the right priority it needs.

The premium members had the same issue and had it resolved in a week.

Please advise, I'm willing to talk to the technical team directly

Hi everyone, thank you for all the time that you've taken to share your feedback and experience about the Health Metrics tile missing or displaying a blank page.

I was able to verify that non-Premium customers with Charge 4, Charge 5, Inspire 2, Luxe, and Versa 2 should see all the metrics, but only up to 7 days of historical data. To see more historical data, it would be necessary to purchase a Premium subscription.

If you haven't done so already, make sure to try to unpair and repair your device with your Fitbit account, as this has been useful for other users experiencing this problem. Then check if you're able to see the tile on the Today page, and if you do, please click on the tile again to make sure that you're able to see any data.

If you're still experiencing this inconvenience, keep in mind the team is already aware of this and they're working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

See you around.
