The green light at the back won’t turn off and draining the battery within an hour. I tried draining the battery until the watch turned off but then, guess what, the green light was still on for about 15 more minutes before it was totally off. What kind of sorcery is this?

Hi, @AJ21yukhon, welcome to the community, my experience is that if your Charge 5 is left off your wrist, lying on a still surface the LED will stop flashing shortly. Disturb the device & the LED starts up again and will continue to flash if the device is put down face up on a reflective surface because it detects the reflected signal. One way to prevent this is to place your charge 5 face down when you take it off. Once on your wrist, the array receives the reflected LED signal & continues to function providing the HR data in the device display. Have you tried restarting your Charge 5? Is your Charge 5 working normally? does the battery last a day or two? If not how long have you had your Charge 5?
Let us know how you get on by posting here again.
Cheers

The watch features are all good. The only problem is the battery draining within 2 hours or regular activity around the house. 100% to 0 in just 2 hours. The led light is steady and super bright ,as in super bright. I was not wearing it, I placed it on the table led light side up. So I’m pretty sure nothing is near or on it that could trigger the sensor. I waited around 40 minutes until it completely run out of battery, and all through out that 40 minutes the LED light was steady on, not blinking, but steady and bright. I bought it JULY 11, 2023.

Restart. Factory reset. Turn of HR tracker. Restart multiple times.

Hi, @AJ21yukhon Your best way forward will be to contact Customer Support via the help>Contact us in the Fitbit app on your phone. You may well have the benefit of Fitbit's return and warranty policy It will depend on where you are, who you bought it from & when. It's a good move to have that information before contacting them. I hope this helps.
