Any time I start a workout directly from my Charge 5, the heart rate on the device itself will go straight to showing --. It's not the device itself, it'll show the heart rate just fine moments before I start the workout, and after I end the workout. But the moment the workout begins, there is no heart rate. I've tried everything: wearing the device higher or lower on my arm, or on the inside of my wrist. I've tried waiting for the heart rate to show up, and sometimes it will after a minute or so, and sometimes it won't for the entire workout. I've tried restarting the workout, and sometimes have to restart it as many as 8 times to get it to work (if I'm lucky, it'll work on the 3rd or 4th try).
To be honest, this has been going on ever since the second month of owning the Charge 5. I got it last year August. The reason I haven't addressed it yet is that I usually forget... until I start a workout (and when I do, I don't have the time to go make a whole post about it). I checked the forum here a few times but the only other post adressing it was locked before any answer was given, which does not inspire trust.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem could be?
