The plastic stud on the Charge 5 band bad design

The silicone band was miserable from the start, the rubber peg kept pulling out until it was lost, have been waiting close to a month for them to send a replacement  (Hopefully not a duplicate of this miserable band) is this a normal wait on them?

Hello & welcome to the community @TheMonk787

That doesn't sound like a normal time for a replacement band to be sent to you. I suggest following up with Fitbit support to get a status update on your replacement.

Just to let you know, the replacement will be the same silicone band. Since it's not one you care for, you might want to consider a 3rd party band instead. I have a metal mesh band with a magnetic clasp on my Charge 5 that I prefer over the silicone one.

I really dont have a problem with the silicone itself, its the plastic stud that is just a plain bad design, there is nothing but a narrow lip of silicone keeping the plastic in place and it gets to the point where it wont stay in place. Have checked out third party bands, the Velcro bands interest me but i got to thinking "Dump all that money into this thing and then have to spend $30 on another company's band?"

Hi, @TheMonk787, while I note your reluctance to buy more "Fitbit" stuff these are new Sport Accessory Bands | Shop Fitbit Charge 5 Accessories

This is by far the worst band ever had!! I’ve got a sore rash and pinched area where the plastic from the one strap goes under the other strap mechanism and pinches your skin unless you have it set just right, you can easily get hurt and yes now I’m gonna spend $30 or more on another strap. I think Fitbit needs to re-design the strap and send them to all the people that bought one with the faulty strap.
