Hi there -
I have restarted my Charge 5 several times, disconnected and reconnected it to bluetooth, restarted my phone, unpaired and repaired my device -- etc etc all of it. I even set location to "always" (which I NEVER do for ANYTHING.) I have an iphone se 2020. The Charge 5 is brand new. I have premium membership.
Nonetheless:
The app shows the Charge 5 is constantly "syncing" and remains "connected" to the app only briefly
When I go to "compatible apps" and choose one, "install" remains gray and cannot be clicked, no matter how many times i press and try
Apps that show as "compatible" in the app marketplace say "not available" when i open the download window
I am still getting "unable to connect to device" notifications
What is going on? Will I ever be able to download apps? Do I have a defective device? Feel like I have tried everything.

Hello @runandweights22
Which Apps are you trying to install? There seems to be a discrepancy between which Apps are shown as compatible and which are actually available now.
The Weather App and Find my Phone have had this situation. They’re not currently available but people are hopeful they’ll be included in a future update.
At the moment the Charge 5 seems to have all of the Apps pre-installed (apart from the ECG App if it rolls out into your country).
Here’s a link to a thread about this. If you read the moderator comments you’ll understand the situation more clearly.
Also gave you updated the Fitbit App on your phone? It should be on 3.54 now and that seems to solved some bugs for iPhone users.
I hope that helps a bit.

Wow, those are ... exactly the two apps I have tried to install! Thank you for the info. So am I not able to add any additional apps to the Charge 5? Or is it just hit or miss, with some apps being mislabeled?

Hello again @runandweights22
I think the best way to check is to go the App Gallery in the App on your phone and it just shows the list of Apps already installed and any that might be available to add (in my case nothing to add).
From the Today Screen in the App on your phone tap your profile picture then Charge 5, then Gallery, then Apps. That shows you what you have and what’s available to add.
That’s the easiest way to check the current state of play regarding Apps for your device.
I hope that helps.
