Unable to set up Charge 5

When I try to set up I get the message that my e mail address has been previously used for a fitbit. This is not correct as I have not used the address before.

How do I get Fitbit to sort this out so that I can use my new charge 5

Hello @DJR123 and welcome to the Community.  I apologize if I'm misreading your post.  It sounds like you are trying to set up a new account.  That's the only reason I can think of for that message.  I looked at your profile and can see that you joined Fitbit in April 2022, so you already have a Fitbit account.  Did you use that email in April?  If so, you need to log in to that account.  You will get a prompt to change your password if you forgot it or don't have it saved on your phone.  Once you log in to that account, tap on your profile avatar > select the +Set Up a Device option and follow the prompts.
