Unable to set up Fitbit Pay on Charge 5

I just purchased my Charge 5 and when I try to set up the wallet it says “Payments are not yet available, please try again” I am in the US and use Bank of America. I also get the same message when I tap on device lock. My Charge 5 was set up with all the default settings. How can I add my bank cards?

Turns out I just had to close and reopen the Fitbit app and got it working now.

Thanks for sharing this detailed information, and your efforts while working on this situation. This is odd as both your country and bank are supported to use Fitbit Pay. Because you're getting that error message, I'd suggest contacting your bank to receive more details about regarding specific financial transactions, or if there are any restrictions / limitations with your credit card.

 

Additionally, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Remove your Charge 5 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force stop the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  3. Restart your tracker to refresh its performance.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  5. Try setting up Fitbit Pay one more time with the instructions described here.
