Very inaccurate built-in GPS within Charge 5

I upgraded from Versa to Charge 5 just a couple of weeks ago, and tested its built-in GPS yesterday in a walk.  Have to say that I'm very disappointed with its inaccuracy. The GPS on my iPhone is doing a much better job to record the tracks.

Not sure if others have the same experience...

Same issue.....I can walk the exact same route and get a difference in the GPS distance of up to 3/4 of a mile.  Frustrating.

Definitely affects me too, on runs and walks. I can do the exact same run route and one day it's showing 9km, another day 11km. It seems to be quite significantly affected by cloud cover, which is likely messing with the GPS satellite connection.

The builtin GPS is not only inaccurate but also inconsistent.  It's basically useless.

The GPS tracks by iPhone follow the real trail very closely and are very consistent.

Hello @bluesky2022

That's quite a terrible track. I've never used a Charge 5 (I only had in my hands for few mins in a store) so I can't give my personal experience.

However your experience looks very similar to what presented by DC Rainmaker on his very detailed review here. According to him since hte GPS sensor is located beneath the tracker the signal is blocked by the wrist so you should loose it a bit, however doing this you will miss HR reliability....

I would really like to have some of responsible engineers to respond to such issues.
