I'm not sure why I can't get the voice cues to work on my Charge 5. Worked fine on my charge 4. I have all the settings set for the voice cues to go off for walk, and also hike 1mi. Volume is on, permissions all set. I tried both starting the hike from the device, and the app with no luck. Uninstalled, & reinstalled App. I'm sure its something simple I missed, so I'm hoping someone in the community may be able to help. Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @baronanne.
Thank you for sharing your inquiry about the Charge 5 device.
Keep in mind that Charge 5 doesn't have a speaker, but in addition to that, the only way to receive Voice Cues is if you start the activity directly from the Fitbit app. In this case you'll be using the Fitbit app on your phone to capture your route, distance, pace, and more.
To turn on Voice Cues, please make sure that you've followed all the recommendations listed here. If the cues are still not working, please try the steps listed here below as well:
Hope this helps, I'll be around.

Thanks for your reply David, but all this is pretty basic, and been tried. Usually the only way I can get it to work is by uninstalling, and re installing the app, and this allows the cues to work a time or two, and then back to no cues. Also, the blue tooth has been fickle as well so not sure if that has something to do with why I have to keep doing this. I was just hoping for an answer to see why this keeps happening and if there was something I was doing to cause the cues to keep stopping. Everything is recording just fine, and yes, I am aware that the Fitbit has no speakers and you need the phone to partner.

@baronanne Thank you for your reply and confirming that you're already following the steps to activate the Voice Cues.
In this case, since you continue to have the same problem and it's only working when you reinstall the Fitbit app, I recommend that you get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance.
It seems that you already have a case created with them. I recommend that you continue the assistance process with them so they can provide you with further instructions. The best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.
Have a good day.
