Was an alternative non-allergy band found?

After owning a Charge 5 for well over a year I have suddenly found my skin blistering under the band, not related to the back of the watch. Was anyone successful with finding a decent alternative?

Searching here all the related threads I found are locked, so I have had to start a new one.

Hello @SunsetRunner

Fitbit has wristbands for the Charge 5 in their product store made with other materials, such as woven band, hook & loop (aka velcro), leather, and vegan leather. Personally, I think these are on the pricier side.

You might want to consider a 3rd party band from stores like Amazon. I decided to use a 3rd party metal mesh wristband with a magnetic clasp. This type of band allows me to easily adjust the fit around my wrist while still looking nice. The drawback to this type of band is the magnetic clasp can attach to other metal items like dinnerware. However, it hasn't been much of a problem for me.

I purchased a woven band when I purchased my Charge5, because I have had the same issue with my Inspire2 band for a couple of years prior. I tend to get eczema from the silicone bands, and haven't had it as badly with the woven band, especially if I clean it (remove from device and soak in soapy water) fairly often.

Random question.... Do you have random reactions to other things that you used to be fine with. Materials, foods or anything of the sort? I ask because I deal with that happening to me with different things. I have chronic medical issues and one is called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. There's other things that can cause an allergic type reaction even though you technically aren't allergic but your body gets the message that you are and sends out a quick response. (Not literally you, in general)

@RainyRedeemed In my case I have no other allergies to materials or food.

So you have never experienced an allergic reaction and then boom there it was.  Isn't it fascinating how things like that can suddenly happen.  I was looking at someone's post and the person with fitbit that responded to that particular person seemed to want to try to take care of the issue.  I hope you're able to take care of it!  I don't breakout from mine however even though I don't wear it tight I have a strange thing happen to my skin that I can't explain but that's probably because I have a strange body due to my medical issues haha!!
