Watch and app not showing steps Charge 5

I completed over 20,000 steps yesterday which were showing on my phone but not app. I deleted, synced, turned Bluetooth on and off and removed device. When re synced my steps were only showing as 7,000 and stopped tracking around lunch time.

Hi, welcome to the FItbit Community forums, @Rwhite08

I appreciate all the information that you've shared about this inconvenience with your steps recorded.

Unfortunately there's no way to recover steps that have been lost for any reason, but it's a bit odd that you were seeing your steps on the device and they were not transferred to the app.

If you haven't done so already, please make sure to the three pulse restart method using the charging cable:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

In addition to the restart, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.

In the meantime, you can manually log an activity to recover some of the steps lost that you mentioned earlier.  Let me know if you experience this problem again.

I'll be around.
