Water Lock Double Tap Issues?

This water lock is nice for when I shower, but, it says "double tap firmly" to lock it and unlock it... But I do that, nothing happens. I double tap harder. Nothing. I try to double tap faster. Nothing. I use two fingers and rapidly tap 10 times between the two. Finally, it locks.

What even is the double tap speed at? Inhuman? Do I have to be a robot to tap as fast as it wants me to with one finger?

It can be frustrating but it can be done. It's at a normal 'knock knock' speed.  It needs quite a firm tap though and seems to work best when you do it in the middle of the screen near the lock picture. 

I suggest practicing with dry hands, turning it on and off when you're watching TV or something until it becomes second nature.  Then try it with wet hands.  It works with two fingers tapping too, if that feels more comfortable for you.  I just tried and 2 seems easier.

@VasVadum I find that water lock needs a firm, slow tap. It feels more like two individual taps than a double tap. Maybe try slowing down and see if that works better for you.

Its an annoying specific paced double tap, I don't really like it. I tried a slow knock tap and slightly sped up before finally it worked at an exact pace.
