I will be glad to clarify your inquiry. So, 17'53" means you were moving at 17 minutes 53seconds/miles or KM. 27'39" 

If you divide that into 60 minutes/hr you will get your speed. So convert the seconds to decimal minutes 53/60 = 0.88 minutes. Therefore, 60/17.88 = 3.35 miles or KM's per hour.
