What has happened to customer service??

Ok so I’ve done some research on the Charge 5 and the press 3 times on the charging cable method doesn’t work. The unit vibrates and the fit bit symbol pops up briefly, then nothing.  I’ve repeated the process a number of times and nothing.  I’ve left it plugged in for days and off the charger for over a week, then tried to recharge.  I’m not happy at all with the customer service from Fitbit now as it seems that this important function has now been shifted to user forums for the masses to figure out. I love the product but without support it is useless.  So my last appeal is to the group for anything else that can be tried or if there is some secret code for reaching customer service.  There may be a link somewhere but you shouldn’t have to dig for it .  Thanks

There is a 40 page topic on this battery issue.   Most users are frustrated as they cannot get a straight answer from the moderators on the progress of a promised firmware update.    I have tried to help others with suggestions and in a few cases had my post removed by the moderators as being inflammatory.   It has not been a good experience for many and I am disappointed by the lack of support and transparency.   
My last suggestion was to email the CEO of Fitbit.  I guess they thought that was inflammatory so they removed my post.
