What is the deal with Charge 5 today?

I got the Fitbit for Christmas and have been wearing it since then. All has been good and well until this morning. Now the thing won't sync to my iphone. I tried all the troubleshoot tips... still nothing. I have it on the charger now and it shows it is charging but the % hasn't changed in 15 minutes... what has happened to my Fitbit??!!

Exactly the same hear. Bought charge 5 for wife's Christmas present, all okay until today and now it won't sync. Running on Android 12(pixel). Have tried reset on charge, removed app, re-installed app, deleted device, re-added device as new device but it will not sync! The app finds it, I put the passcode in then it just fails. Not happy, sort it out please fitbit

So support had me go to settings on the Fitbit, device info, clear user
data. Then set the Fitbit back up through the app.
Everything is working now, except I lost all data from about 3am on…

I'm having the same problem with syncing. it started yesterday at 3 pm.  tried all the trouble shoot tips.  now its not taking the charge also.

Go to setting, device info, clear user data.  Then set up the Fitbit again through your phone and app.

It worked for me.  Mine also wasn't showing that is was charging up, but after everything got reset, my phone showed it was charged up.

This was so weird.

Same here. Based on the step counter, phone lost contact with the charge five and around 4 o’clock on Saturday. Weirdly, The charge five itself says that I have taken nearly 12,000 steps this morning (Monday, by 9:40 a.m.).

Same here.  Got it for Christmas and all of a sudden it won’t sync no matter what I seem to try.  This is the 3rd FitBit I’ve had in 5 years, usually like to upgrade but have been quite disappointed with this one.
