When will the ECG app be available on Charge 5?

I just received my Charge 5 but unfortunately no ECG app is available in The Netherlands. I cannot find any information about the release date of the ECG app for the Charge 5. It is a pity because Fitbit is advertising with the ECG feature as one of its main features. Why then is it not available with the release of the device itself? That is a bit disappointing I must say. At least give us a possible release date so we can look forward to this release! This would be highly appreciated!

Not available yet; supposedly coming soon.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Fitbit has implemented new features with firmware updates after the product launch with the most recent devices available. I recommend that you check periodically to see if there's any update available for you.

I returned my and bought the Apple Watch with the ECG… works great… bad advertising by Fitbit… and there not letting you know when it will be released… I bet there losing money… on this

I am not happy at all with my new Charge 5.  I bought it because of all of the advertised capabilities also and now I'm finding out it doesn't do everything as advertised.  The setup app is also very cumbersome.  I'm going to return the Charge 5 and go back to my Charge 3.  I thought I was upgrading but it doesn't seem to be an upgrade except for the color display.

there were some updates and it is going one when I am replying. hope the ECG works when I found that they Fitbit website but it shows disconnection again and again.

This is why I returned mine. I’m waiting on a refund!! Seems as if I’m getting a run-a-round on my refund as well. So disappointed. I hope you and any others that falsely paid more for the ECG feature to find out it is something being added at a later date!! My Fitbit arrived back at their warehouse and was signed for on the 5th. It’s only been a week but apparently I’m waiting for an email that will notify me that they will refund me in 7-10 more days. I chatted with customer service and what told they couldn’t answer when I would get a refund. My concern needed to be elevated to a higher tier!! Horrible customer service and yes false advertisement!!

It does have all the functions advertised; it doesn't have the functions that are advertised as being available in the near future.

My problem is since I bought it yesterday for the app, what does coming soon mean - a weeks time or 6 months. Can’t return it in a couple of months.

I hear you... I posed that question, and Fitbit doesn't provide ANY time frame. They continue advertise it as the tracker with that feature.

I don't think there is any confirmed date for delivery. It'll be sent in a firmware update when it's ready.

Does the ECG "feature" require a premium subscription? I would challenge the "6 month free trial" timeframe until the features it supports are actually available.

It won't require a Premium subscription to get ECG data.

Be careful what you wish for. I just got mine and the battery drains very fast. I can only imagine adding this new feature will make it worse. I'm somewhat disappointed in it.
