Where do I find the meaning of Charge 5 icons?

There is literally NO place to find what ALL of the numbers/icons mean. I’ve spent hours trying to unravel the meaning and have found ZIP!!! My new Fitbit is going back. There has to be another device that the manufacturer thinks important that a user can easily find and understand this information.

Oh dear @Hali214 , try not to get too stressed.

I'm not sure whether you mean icons on the Charge 5 itself or the App.  In the meantime, here's the link to the manual. You can treat it like a reference book to look for the icons if you like.

I hope it helps a bit.

Charge 5 Manual

It was actually on the Important Links, Charge 5 help at the top of this page on the right.

Good luck!

Not necessarily disagreeing with you about trouble finding icon meanings, but you probably could have gotten answers by asking here.  But if are set on returning it, I guess that doesn't matter now.

I also suspect you could have found some in the Charge 5 manual , which I admit is not necessarily obvious to find.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Would it have been so hard to include this in the start up guide

After some help here I thought I might keep this but …

-despite numerous attempts it will not update

says “searching”. Let it search all night last night but this morning still searching.

- it does not record steps accurately.      Apparently if your not moving your arms (carrying something or mowing) it thinks your biking and records as such. Yes I’m told I can turn this off but should I have too

- lastly I thought I would figure out a technique to put this thing on but OMG who in their right mind designed a watch band that tucks under.

Then you try to take it off and the rubber is stuck to your skin.

There just has to be something better or at least something I don’t need help putting on.

That band is indeed a very unusial design...I too found it awkward at first...but got used to in in the end ..just have to remember to wear it one hole looser than I would otherwise. I have however found some nice steel bands that I've ordered from a popular site that should be delivered next week...so you might want to consider that of the other issues can be resolved.

I didn't like the default band at all.  I immediately swapped it for a silicon strap which is much better.

I got my first Fitbit a week ago and I've been wandering through various manuals and online forums trying to get an answer to this very question.  Why Fitbit makes this extremely basic info so difficult to find confounds me.  In fact, everything I've seen so far of Fitbit documentation has been convoluted and badly organized.  A group refresher for Technical Writing 101 would be a good idea.

I found a website that has a bunch of the symbols here.  I took some screenshots of that page, pasted them on to a Word document and created my own 1 page directory. Seems odd to me that Fitbit doesn't just publish one somewhere.

For sure they need at least 2 courses to train them !!

also I get an icon of a person raising arms twice a day but can't read what it says under the icon as it is red, needs to be white for my weak eyse to read, if anyone knows please let me know !!

Thanks

I was quite confused when the the icon for “steps taken” appeared to be a hoot owl bat. It’s a badly drawn pair of shoes.
