White screen and low battery Charge 5

My Fitbit gives a white screen and my battery dies quickly. I have recharged my Fitbit but it continues to give a white screen. I also rebooted it several times but nothing changed.

Thank you for sharing that you've having this inconvenience with your Charge 5 device and that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps. 

Before considering other options, please make sure that you've tried all the steps listed here below as well: 

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure using the charging cable, instead of the restart on the device's settings. 
  2. Follow these steps in case you're having trouble with the battery draining too fast.  
  3. Please sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  4. If you  can't sync, tap on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tap to see if a firmware banner appears. 
  5. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display.

Hi Davide,

 

Unfortunately, the above does not work. My screen stays white and flickers off screen. In addition, my battery runs out within 6 hours without doing anything with it. I have the Fitbit for less than a year.
