I had been having major issues with my Charge 5, for weeks the display was going bad and eventually it was just WHITE, could not see anything else. Prior to the solid white screen the display was flickering like a 30’s movie and the colours were no longer vivid? Imagine my surprise when in Sunday morning it was BACK TO NORMAL! And I had already purchased a new one which should be delivered next week! I suspect the issue was with Fitbits firmware as so many had been reporting issues with their Charge 5’s although I can find no update from Fitbit. Today a new issue arose. My Sleep time was split, 22:59 to 02:43 then 03:52 to 08:15. I was NOT awake, my Fitbit was on my arm as normal! Please explain why this occurred? Thank you. Jane

I have email enabled so I will know when there is a reply but I can’t even find my question posted this morning. I have searched and can not see it! Sorry fitbit but this just seems to be a waste of time!

You could have been restless enough that the FitBit detected you as being awake, even though you never woke up enough to be conscious of that. I have a Pulmonologist friend who has studied sleep her whole life, with sophisticated equipment, and when we were talking about my FitBit sleep data (particularly how consistent my 'Deep' sleep time is regardless of how many or few hours I sleep) she was saying the device really has very little data to make those determinations so it is prone to inaccuracy. The value of the data is more what it gives you over time vs a strange incident that happened during one particular night.
